My bearded dragon is about a year old. He started brumation at the beginning of December (a little over a month). He sleeps in one spot then moves to another to sleep and has been doing that on and off, but doesn’t eat or drink. I spray him every morning, but didn’t realize he hadn’t pooped (which I know now is bad), but he pooped about 2 weeks in (nothing out of ordinary with his stool). Basically, he’s looked fine until the last couple of days he started looking skinnier. Today I decided to give him a bath... he woke up when I put him in the water and started opening his mouth and flailing, and that’s when I noticed his neck was black/deep brown underneath. I picked him up and he went limp and back to sleep in my hands (could barely keep his eyes open). He’s been opening and closing his moth now and turning his head side to side but eyes are still shut.

It’s hard to gauge with everything I’ve read about brumation...so can’t tell if he’s sick or just not ready to wake up. I have a vet appointment in the morning, but worried if this is something urgent.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
