I am so thankful that I found this forum, you guys have been such a great help. Ive learned so much just from browsing, I wish everybody knew about this site.
So he has not had any seizures today then? That is good news. The calcium should be helping him get better so continue with that.
How is his appetite doing today?
Your other dragon doesn't like the taste of the liquid? Well, I guess he will just get the powder, that is good enough since he is not suffering the seizures & twitches.
It doesn't sound like he is impacted then. A spinal injury was just a thought but if he has not had anything fall on him, or he has not fallen himself then that is remote.
Keep us posted on them both.
I have a question. Why does Gina act like she wants to come out and cuddle but then freaks out if i try. She will scratch at the glass like its her job. but when I go to take her out she starts squrming and beards me and hisses
How are you going to pick her up? Are you going from over her head, or from the side & scooping her up? She could still be a little weak since you have not had her long. Be very gentle when picking her up. Make sure that she sees your hand before picking her up & don't back down otherwise, she will think that by bearding & hissing at you that she has won.
How are you picking her up?Its always best to go slowly from the side instead of from the top.Sometimes it just takes time for them to get used to you remember these beardies were never handled by their previous owner so its new to them.
Tracie I think Gina needs the liquid calcium also because she was already showing some signs of MBD also I think. What do you think?Did you get to glance at the other thread about her?
im very careful not to scare her i dont want to stress her out. I go from in front of her and then to the side. I make sure she sees my hands. Gina LOVES squash, so can I cover the squash with the liquid?
Why dont you try picking up some squash baby food and put the calcium in that and see if she will take it that way. This way you will be sure she is getting the full dosage.
