Okay even store bought wood should be baked before you use it this will help to prevent
this from happening.

First you need to strip and clean viv...bake any an all furniture try to only put back
what is needed for basking if possible. You will need to do this daily. Better yet if you
have an extra enclosure that you could use as a holding tank.Mites can not
breath in the water or swim so if you bath your beardies this will remove alot of them.
Bathing in a Betadine (povidone-iodine) solution bath will help.
I'd do it several times a day until they are all gone. Here's a link on treating mites in
reptiles. http://www.anapsid.org/mites.html
For any remaining stubborn mites you could
use this I have before and it worked good for me.
Follow the direction on the bottle. Also read the cautions because
you don't want to get it in their eyes.

You must be vigorious in your daily cleanings and bathing to get rid of them...

Best of luck for a quick success.

I would still empty and wash out viv asap as well as bathe them even if you don't have any betadine or Reptile Relief. The mites are biting them and making lots of little soars...it's very uncomfortable to have bugs crawling all over you biting. :( The link I provided gives you much more information on the mites and treating of them so don't forget to check it out if you haven't already.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
