Pink/Red in Urinate

Clyde's behavior doesn't sound too troubling and I think she'll be fine. If she's still gong for hornworms then she still has an appetite. As for the laybox, make a smaller one that fits right in her tank. A plastic sterilte or rubber maid about 20" long, 10" wide and 7" high. You can find those at office supply, Walmart, etc.
Fill it about 3/4 with the damp sand/soil, cut a corner out of the lid to act as an entrance and put it in the cool side of the tank, around 80 -82 degrees .

Okay, I went ahead with the big one for now because its what I have, I'll pick up a smaller tub that i can leave in the tank sometime tomorrow to give him the option to dig when I'm not home :) thanks! Here's my current progress attached below. I have a long day on campus tomorrow so I'm not sure how much digging time he'll get.

Okay, oooof lots of work. I'm done for the night here are some photos of the final setup. I'll put it in the bathroom with his heat lamp and the bathroom heat up. I got the same play sand everyone recommends but mine seemed a little coarser than what I've seen other ppl get––hopefully it holds up well enough. I'll put him in here tomorrow evening after I get home.

One more question on the sand... I see some people get "washed" or "clean" play sand? They only had one type of play sand at home depot and I'm wondering if it's okay. I attached a photo below.

Edit: Nvm it literally says "washed" lol. Well anyways it's kind of more grainy than the finer sand I'm seeing other ppl use so I hope its okay for him.

O.K, that looks good with the cave already built in. :)
Here he is this morning digging… wish I was home to put him in his dig box but I won’t be home for another 4 hours 😭

That's the advantage of having one in the enclosure but Clyde will be fine. Even if she needs to lay them she has that area in the cave. It may be that she's just enjoying the natural behavior of digging.

Got home and he had been hanging out in his hide for several hours, not napping just chilling. Tried to nap a little right when I went to get him. He’s in dig box now but not doing anything yet. I also checked for “lumps” but I still can’t feel anything.

I want to get an ultrasound but I’m worried about getting another vet that will traumatize him.

Yeah, i would put a egg layer in there hi just in case, she might have eggs even tho you don't feel it yet.
Yeah i’m going to try to get that tonight. Stuck at home rn watching if he’ll dig. So far no interest…
Here is what I have right now, top layer of sand is during our but underneath that is still damp.

Clyde still won’t eat anything :/ unless it’s a hornworm or maybe a strawberry. Going to set up dig box soon, he’s basking for now.

Edit: his fat pads seem a little low but still healthy, not sunken. Will weight him later, just finished making lay box in enclosure.

Clyde's weight is on the plus side and whether she is carryng eggs or not they can go off food for a while for no particular reason when they are so well fed in captivity like Clyde. BTW, you don't need a big beam of light over a laybox, most dragons want privacy and more darkness.

Okay good to know, light was more for warmth but I have a ceramic heater I could use.

Made the lay box inside the enclosure and he dug a little today! Don’t think anything was laid because he seems the same weight but not sure how/if I can check the sand for eggs without stressing him out. I’d like to keep it in the enclosure for now but the sand starts drying off pretty quick, should I get a spray bottle? Can I just mix the sand around with water more? Idk why but I feel like if he seems me messing with the sand he’ll think it’s an unsafe area for eggs lol. I’m not sure if they think that well.

Edit: I sprayed the sand down with water in a spray bottle. Humidity is not a concern where I am luckily :)

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
