Hi,
We've had Brick Top now since Easter and he is almost 1 year old now (September) and since we've had him he as poo'ed pretty much every day in his tank. However lately he has not been going as often as before, maybe every one or 2 days, and he has just gone 5 days without pooing. He was still eating but not going as mad for roaches (running to the container we feed him in when we put roaches in there, booping his nose on the sides to get in and eat) but still eating though maybe not as much as before.
I was so relieved when I saw him pooing about 20 mins ago, to then see that what looks like his urate has a large pink part on it. His poo in general is massive as must have been awful to pass. He drinks a fair amount of water most days and whenever he bathes as I was worried he may be dehydrated when we first took him home. I have an appointment for him to see a reptile vet at 5:30 this evening (UK time) and I have saved his poo to take with me to the appointment but thought I would see what some of your guys think about this too.
Info:
Age: About 11 months
Weight: 407g
Length: 18in nose to tail tip (looks like he has all of his tail and wasn't nipped as a baby)
UV: 10% ReptiSun, Since April. No reflector. Came with the set up we brought from the Reptile shop, will upgrade to 12% Arcadia when current bulb needs replacing.
Temps: Hot 40.8c (105.44f) Cold 28.8c (83.84f)
Humidity: 39-41%
Live food: Mostly dubia roaches, mediums, about 20ish (however many he will eat in a sitting until hes had enough, sometimes leaves some behind when hes done). Recently fed him Silk worms (ate all 20 medium sized silkies in one sitting) Very occasionally crickets (was fed crickets when I first got him, slowly transitioned to more dubia roaches, now only crickets when we run out of dubias)
Dusting: Prorep Calci Dust 4 days a week, Nutrobal 2 days a week.
Salad: Mostly Bok Choi (Pak Choi in the UK) recently some kale and rarely rocket (I dont think he is a fan of rocket) Tried finely grated carrots but he left them all.
Water: No bowl in his tank, but drinks from a syringe most days or from the bath. I don't believe dehydration to be an issue as he does drink a lot. Maybe he drinks too much? Is that possible?
Exercise: We let him out (simply open the viv door for him to come and go as he pleases) for 30 mins or more most days. He runs around the living room and lets himself back in when hes done/wants to bask.
If I am missing any information let me know. Thank you so much in advance.
