Today while giving Pete his meds for Coccidia, I noticed that one of his eyes was 'pink' around the eye. It doesn't appear to be swollen or bulging, doesn't have any kind of leakage or fluid or anything like that. He can see out of his eye and moves it to look around.
When I've been giving him his meds, I have been gently holding the syringe on that side of his mouth until he opens his mouth so I can get the syringe in. Usually, he bites down on the syringe several times while I'm 'injecting' the medicine. Would his eye / jaw bruise from him biting or is this something unrelated? I didn't notice it until today.
As for everything related to his diet and enclosure, he has the 'right' stuff with tile substrate, reptisun 10.0 bulb inside cage (Walmart fixture), heat lamp with temps consistantly between 100-110 in basking spot. His diet consists of greens (collard at the moment) and dubia roaches.
I'm attaching photos for reference. The one with the 'pink' is a little washed out looking due to the lighting / angle, but you can see how it's pink around his eye and on his jaw.
Normal eye, left side
Pink eye, right side
