Pink AFTER shed?

Socrates just finished sheding the area at the back of his head where the back spines are. I just gave him a warm bath and noticed that the area was kind of pink in the skin and one of the spines has a red tip! We did NOT pull at the shed at all as usual and I don't think this has happened before. I think he might have shed prematurely. Will he be okay? Very worried.

How very odd.
A photo would really help us tell if this is fungal, damage or pigmentation.

It has gone away now. I think maybe he just kind of shed too early. Now he is just a little bit pink in some parts of the skin, but he seems fine. When I touch it it does not feel weird and he does not seem to notice. Also, Socrates has been acting very happy and healty. I don't know what that was. Thanks for the help though! I love the people on this site! :mrgreen:
