Phillip, My new dragon!

After many, many years of wanting, and several months of preparing I finally got my dragon! I was going to wait and order one from a breeder online, but today, when I went to Petsmart I knew I just had to have him. He was the prettiest baby and was sold to me as a fancy dragon for an extra $20. It took me a long time to decide if I still wanted him, but how could I resist his little, cutie face? None of the other connected with me like he did.

Does he look like he's going to colorful? Maybe orange? In the store he was lighter with brighter orange on his back.

So far he's eaten 3 crickets, 1 small roach, and a piece of salad.

Someone has a chunky monkey lol. He's such a handsome boy!

Someone was a really cranky guy today. For the last two weeks Philip has been acting crazy. I can't keep him in his viv, and he suddenly gets mad at nothing.

Here he is flipping out over his reflection. Later I removed the poor, pummeled aloe plant.

Phillip sure was full of it in that video, huh? Jace will do the same thing, but stop as soon as I enter the room. He knows that usually means I'll take him out and let him have a run in the play pen area I have set up for the beardies.

It looks like Phillip also agrees with my boys in the "it must be spring" feeling. :lol:

It must be a spring thing. He's been going crazy. He gets angry randomly and he keeps wanting to explore a room he's never been in before and will scratch at it until I distract him. There are no reptiles in there so I have no idea why he needs to venture in there so badly. I guess the rest of the living and dining room just isn't big enough.

I hear you. I made a pen for my guys in my living area and I used blankets for the wall. No matter what I do to make the blanket impossible to pass, they somehow climb over it and then they run right into the reptile room. Well, the males do. The female will use the blanket to climb up the footstool and then she'll pancake out. It seems when the boys are hit by spring fever, they get hit hard.

I like the pen idea. I could give him a lamp to keep warm. Thanks for the idea!

We're getting ready to move soon, and it looks like someone found a comfy spot between the boxes.

Today I moved Hermione out of her 10 gallon and into a 20 L. I also ordered her a tank stand. It's good to be able to get her out of her tiny cage and into something really nice. Now, if only I could afford that 75 for Philip.
