Phillip, My new dragon!

After many, many years of wanting, and several months of preparing I finally got my dragon! I was going to wait and order one from a breeder online, but today, when I went to Petsmart I knew I just had to have him. He was the prettiest baby and was sold to me as a fancy dragon for an extra $20. It took me a long time to decide if I still wanted him, but how could I resist his little, cutie face? None of the other connected with me like he did.

Does he look like he's going to colorful? Maybe orange? In the store he was lighter with brighter orange on his back.

So far he's eaten 3 crickets, 1 small roach, and a piece of salad.

He's a norm, but very beautiful. After they first couple of sheds, they build up color. When I first got Zy she looked like this (this was at Petco and she is the one with her back facing us):

It looks like he has the same colors she did. That's great, because I'd be thrilled if he turned out looking like her. She's very pretty :)

I thank you, but I won't tell her that, she has a really big ego.

Such a cute, nighty night pic!

OK, the last few days have been rough. Friday morning my poor little guy got squished by his log, and I wasn't sure he was going to make it. He was knocked out, one of his eyes wouldn't open, and he couldn't stop spinning in circles everytime he tried to walk. There's no vet nearby so I was very distaught, and didn't know what to do. After reading a bunch of stuff on line I stumbled across a sight about bird concussions. I decided that it must be a concussions and treated it as one. I kept him quiet and warm, and make sure to give him a bath and water everyday to keep him hydrated. By Sunday afternoon he had perked up and started acting a bit more normal, but was still spinning. I forced fed him two crickets and a little baby food. He wasn't happy, but ate without a problem. I did the same thing yesterday, and now, today, he actually walked straight again!! I am soo happy! Here are a few pictures.

Oh, and I changed his name to Phillip, because he looks more like a Phillip than a Thor.

Here's a picture of how I have the cage now. Before, I wasn't thinking and had the log propped up on the rock. It seemed stable because the underside of the log is hollow and it 'gripped' the edge of the rock. I also had it propped up against the glass at the other end, so I never expected it to move :(

Here's Phillip's eye opening a tiny bit. He's not too happy because I just made him eat some dusted crickets. I'll go out and get some wax worms today and see if he eats them more willingly.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
