Pet "Like" Beardie?

Hey guys, I have a five year old Beardie and I am looking into getting another pet that is exotic as well but I wanted opinions from other Beardie owners so here it is, I want to either get a Pacman Frog or a Gecko of some sorts. If anyone is knowledgeable on either subject can you give me a run down on your day to day routine? Thanks.

I had a pac man years ago and truthfully, they are really boring. If set up proper all you ever see is eyeballs sticking out of the dirt and frogs aren't keen on being handled.
My mom raised crested geckos for a few years. They are pretty neat and relatively easy to care for but once again, not too keen on being handled plus they are nocturnal so you don't get to see them much.
If I was to get another type of lizard, I would probably go with a uromastyx. If you get a captive bred baby then they make nice pets and will tolerate being handled though not like a dragon does. They need a lot of heat but are pure vegetarians so feeding is easy.

As Gail mentioned, crested geckos are nice, [ and they feel like soft suede] but being nocturnal it's a bit boring. One lizard that I love but you don;t hear much about is a fire skink. They are BEAUTIFUL, not expensive, easy to keep [ about 2-3 inches of eco -earth kept damp and a couple of rocks and logs, temps. 75-85] and eat anything that drops in front of them, including earthworms + nightcrawlers, and even cooked egg.

So, I definately had to google uromastyx, and they definately aren't anywhere as cute as beardies...

I would just get another beardie!

Yea! We have some wild purple and blue skinks around where I am from! Gives ya a good scare every once in a while when you think it IS a snake! haha

Personally, my choice would be a mountain horned dragon. I haven't owned one yet but I have researched their needs and they don't seem too demanding, plus they are said to be very personable.

I would look towards a blue tongue skink if i get another reptile.

OK. I'm googling all these reptiles you guys are talking about, and I realize that besides bearded dragons, I really don't think I'm a reptile person. Everything else is creeping me out. I don't even think of my dragons as reptiles. weird.

You should try checking out gargoyle geckos! They are so soft! And really cute.

Get a ball python, it's not a lizard but it is a reptile. :mrgreen: Mine is really friendly, and they have cute little heads. :love5: They are very easy to keep too, don't need light or feeding everyday, you only need to keep the humidity between 60-70% and temps on hot side 30°C and on cooler side around 23-26°C!

I wish I could get a Ball Python. One of my favorite reptiles for sure, Snakes however are not allowed on my lease.

Consider a chinese water dragon??? they are sweet get a little longer than beardies and mine is more cuddly than most puppies lol they do have kinda high requirements mainly in the humidity part.,...
