Yeah, so I've had a quick browse of this site and didn't come across any threads where people shared the traits/personalities/characteristics of their Bearded Dragons.
Seeing as i'm sitting here in college waiting to go home, I decided to make a thread for people to do just that.
This is what I had in mind.
Name your beardie, share their characteristics and describe their personalities.
I've had my first dragon for just over a month now, and my second is currently in his second week with me. In that short time I've noticed their personalities shining through already!

Ozzy, my first BD does this thing where she'll ask to come out of her tank, and to go back in.
When she wants out she comes up to the window stands up on her hind legs and STARES at me with both hands pressed against the glass. When I let her out she runs about like a lunatic, and especially if I play guitar she loves to come out. In fact while i'm strumming away she'll stop whatever she's doing and come sit directly next to the guitar, tilting her head as if to listen better!
When Ozzy wants to go back in she hops off the bed and scratches at the base of the desk that her tank sits on. She'll then scamper up my arm and hop into the tank of her own accord!

Biffy on the other hand is a complete psycho! This guys most obvious quality at the moment is his love for front flips. He jumps off everything! Just the other day I saw him leap off the top of his fake plant, front flip, and land in his salad bowl. Apart from that though, he doesn't trust me AT ALL. He just sits and stares me out of it. If I even consider putting my hand in to his viv to pick him up, he's like a ninja, flipping all over the place.

So basically... I've concluded that Ozzy is a little princess who likes to get what she wants when she wants it, she loves to be serenaded by my poor guitar playing skills and has an airy, calm nature!
Biffy however, reminds me of a rocker/emo dragon. He flips all over the place like he's at some Pantera gig or something, and when he's not doing that he's staring at me like a moody teen from within his bedroom, which is a no go zone for his parent(me). Lol

So yeah, if your up to it, share your beardies personalities, characteristics and generally loony behaviour! :)

I've been thinking a lot lately about the personalities of my beardies. I find it so fascinating that each has their own personality and their own quirks. Shep is my 5 month old baby and Princess is my one and a half yr old baby. I spend much of my free time watching both of them in their viv and holding them. I love watching Shep, he is so comical. He runs around his viv all day long and then when lights go out, he goes right to his vine and goes to bed. He is like my human children, 2 speeds stop and go. Yesterday he was nose dive jumping off of his basking place onto crickets. He's never done this before and it was so funny. He is shedding though so yesterday he was doing all kinds of crazy things. He was sliding down the slope of his basking spot on his belly and rubbing his head on everything. Shep will not drink water from a water dish so I mist him and when I do he opens his mouth and laps the water up. He does not like to be held but we are working on that and he does not like fruits and veggies but if I am holding him I can get him to at least taste them. He is stubborn but adorable and I love him so much. Princess on the other hand is not very active however she likes being held and loves to eat lol. She hangs out on her rocks most of the day but when I have her out she will walk around and climb on us. She is very serene while Shep is very hyper. They both like it when I come to their vivs and talk to them, Shep always moves his head and acknowledges me, Princess does the same. I am so happy that I decided to become a Bd owner.

I've had my little Sir Lei Gorbash (A.k.a Gorby) for four weeks now and he is so curious and loves to torment my hamster. If i put him to one side of my bed he would zoom to the bottom and see if Hannibal was awake to stare at hehe.
He likes to come out and sit with me when i watch T.V, only today i sat in bed with my hot water bottle(it's cold in England y'know!) and Gorby sitting near the bottom, then he ran up to me and nudged my hands off the water bottle so he could climb on and go to sleep, the nerve! XD He grabbed my finger with his little hand and rested his head on my finger also before going to sleep <3
Also, he got wrong once for trieing to run behind the t.v so he curled up under my leg and went to sleep, softening me up! Daawww but i couldn't be mad at his little face.
He is very lazy for pooping though, he waits untill he goes in the bath to poo...still deciding wether this is a helth consern >.>
If he is exploring and i say his name he just looks at me and says 'What man, woman? I'm busy here...i'm sure i just saw a cricket!' :p

And so that is my little Sir Lei Gorbash <3

Hahaha, these guys sure are cute! When we had only Angie, I thought it is so cool to see that beardies have a personality. I actually figured they would probably all be like her: mellow, observing, loving cuddles and hating baths. Then we got Flippie, and I had to get used to HYPER.

Angie is a real little madam. She mostly sits in her basking spot, watching the world go by. She loves her butternut squash, but if her live feeders are out of immediate reach, she will give you a look that can only be translated into: "WHAT? You want me to go THERE? Just move it over here, you're just sitting there..." At first, when you put her in her bath, she would frantically try to get out. She used to poo only in one spot of her viv - on her paper towel. When she accidentally misses the paper, she would give you a look of "Why did you put it over there? I wanted to go here". When she realized a good poo in the bath actually gets her out, she would swim around for a while, poo and wait to be taken out.

Flippie on the other hand, is a real little boy. His viv is always in a mess, he doesn't like veggies (unless hand fed), hunts like a maniac and is always running around like a hyper-active four-year old on a sugar rush. He pretends to be all big and mean and tough when he feels intimidated or unsure - black-bearding, puffing and glaring - but, usually runs to mommy for re-assurance. I discovered during his bath the other night why his viv looks like it does: he hasn't learned yet that, when you poo, you should do it standing still. He RUNS/SWIMS: leaving a whole messy trail behind him.

Both of them would, after feedings or when they are full, lick up the remains of the calcium powder left on the floor...

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
