So I had Hermes out with me while I was on the computer. After digging himself into a nice little hollow, he crashed so I went and brought Sienna out so she could get some additional time outside her viv. It was getting sort of late, so after about 30 minutes she too found a place to hunker down to get some shut eye. I ended up wrapping her in her blanket, setting her on the desk, and just leaving both to snooze.
About two hours in, I happen to notice Sienna moving. I though she might have woke up (which was great because I hate interupting them to put them back in their vivs) but it turned out she was still asleep. Once again I left her alone, and maybe about another 25 minutes or so, I saw the lower part of her blanket rise again quickly. This time, her entire upper body lifted as she did a slow bob. She paused on her way back down then dropped her jaw and made this slight gaspy noise before lowering fully and laying still again. She only made the noise once, but she did repeat with the body movement one last time.
Is it possible they have some kind of REM sleep? I doubt that full dreaming is possible due to the structure of their brains, but I guess they don't enter a state of atonia either which would allow the free movement. Has anyone else witnessed their dragons moving while asleep?
