part of my beardies tail is turning black, is he ok?

today i took him out and i noticed hes very skittish and scared, and his tail was sorta black. never noticed this before and i heard that a beardie turning black means hes stressed or sick. right now hes 10" and in a 10g tank but that will be changing to a 50g soon and i take him out lots so he shouldnt be stressed because of that. im using a exo terra bulb with uv's for light with a basking bulb to. he has a log to climb on and bask on and i feed him dusted crickets, bearded dragon pellets, and a bunch of good veggies. hes always seemed pretty happy eating 20 crickets a day and always being friendly when i take him out. what could be the problem and should i be worried about him? last night i noticed him scratching himself against the log in there trying to shed and i gave him a bath but he still seemed normal. im going to try feeding him in a sec to see if he will eat like usual.

The last inch or so of our beardie was turning black. My wife read that sometimes the tip has a hard time shedding and the old skin restricts the blood flow. She gently soaked and rubbed her tail, and got the shedding off. With in a couple days the blackness was gone and it had lighted up a lot. Something to look into?

tonight i will soak him again and try and get it off or atleast help him. his whole tail is a diffrent colour then the rest of his body, just like before he last shed so its a good possibility. ill post back on here the results from the soak
