Hello! So Mallee has been doing really well the last month or 2. Eating lots, pooping enough and has steadily been putting on weight. I weighed him last week and he was 39g on an empty stomach. I still think he is very small (if the not-so-great breeder I got him from is right about his age he should be coming up to 5 and a half months but I personally think he is just about 4 months, if that- previous post on that) but he all around looks healthy has been shedding fine.
Now the past couple of days I have noticed his poops have been more smelly than usual, not like want to be sick bad but just a little more noticeable than before, they're very watery and are mushy. I watched him have a poop today (gross I know lol) and he wasn't straining and it didn't just fall out of him. Looked like normal bowel movements. I wouldn't call it diarrhoea, it's still kind of formed in a way just a lot wider and kind of mushy. I'll try and get a picture Tomorrow. Even though his poops are weird he still has a huge appetite. His legs are going a paler colour I think he may be shedding soon too.
His diet is locusts and roaches (finally he eats them and loves them!) Greens are spring greens as a staple and he'll have a mixture and alternating every day or couple of days depending, green beans, bell pepper, butternut squash, bok choi, rocket, asparagus and very occasionally cucumber, pear, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. (I've only gave him spring greens the past couple of days because of his weird poops)
His viv: 3ft viv with 60w basking spot light (will be changing this to an arcadia flood basking bulb soon) arcadia 12% t8 25w tube UVB, basking temps- between 98-110F depending on which basking spot he uses, warm side -89-95F, cool side 83-88F. I use rep cal calcium no d3 mon-fri and rep cal herptivite sat-sun once a day one feeding. He gets 2 feedings a day.
Here he is now
Any advice would be much appreciated thank you!
