Painting a Vivarium?

Hi,
I'm getting my Beardie in August but I was thinking that I could paint the outside of the vivarium with non toxic white paint that I could get from B&Q and paint it in May?
I'm sure that it should be ok on the outside and months before, as I have dogs and they have been ok with white paint on walls and things, same with my rabbits, we painted the doors and walls and they were fine.
But should it be ok for a dragon?

I don't see why non toxic paint on the outside would cause any issues.
