I'm wondering will a juvenile overeat? Bella eats some veggies, then her crickets I typically give her 6-8 every feeding, and almost always seems hungry still. Thanks in Advance=)]
How old is she? I would be feeding a juvenile more than 6-8 crickets every feeding, but I would like to know what age you are calling a juvenile first. Until they are adult we feed them as many live feeders as they will eat, and I feed them more than once per day.
Bella will be 7 weeks tomorrow. I feed her 3 times a day and in between toss a few crickets to her Also she steals my broccoli when I try to eat it
Oh wow, yes - we fed ours a lot more than that at 7 weeks. I remember Chief would snap up 30++ crickets each feeding, and we fed him three times a day. We used to drop them one at a time in front of him and he would gobble them up as fast as we dropped them from the bag. 100 crickets a day was common for him to eat while he was growing.
Feed your beardie more crickets. She needs more protein at such a young age.
2 feedings a day is good. Give her as many crickets as she will eat in one sitting. Its good that she likes veggies, but it's more crucial for her to eat protein now or her growth may be stunted.
(Btw she's really cute! You bought an adorable beardie. )
Wow thank you all! I'm relieved to know that I'll let her have a BIG dinner today I was just about to head home to get my Bella loves! I appreciate all the advice!!!
@Vermundor- Thank you She was actually a Valentines present from my Hubby! I had no idea so I'm still getting educated =)
