outside

so it was a beautiful day outside the other day so i took rocko out and put him down for the first time. he loved it and i have never seen him run so fast as you can tell when i tried to go pick him up he said oh no u don't. i love this guy he is awsome. i got him from a lady and he belonged to her son. he didn't get alot of attention and was a grump. i have worked for 2 months and have made a ton of progress with him we get along and he frightens my wife. he's doing his job. :evil: . i have done alot of studying on this web site and have learned alot more than i thought i knew about dragons . i just wanted to say to all of you dragon lovers thank you. i hope all of you had a great new year i know rocko and i did

Wow Rocko is impressive! He looks like a big strong healthy boy. That black beard is amazing, he'd frighten me too! Beardies are the best, so when are you getting your next one :lol: ?? Looking forward to seeing more pictures of Rocko and reading some stories too.

Glad he now has a good home with someone who will show him the attention he needs. Thanks for taking him in from the previous owner and good job on getting him to the point he is now where he is no longer as grumpy. Hope you guys have a nice long life together. ok everyone since you all liked rocko so much and i am so excited that u do. i decided to keep this going but it won't be a every day thing but will keep it going. i was sitting on the couch and i left my bedroom door open with him out last night normally he will stay in there. i had no idea he was in the living room until i see his little head pop over the cushion on the other side of me. either did my wife and she freaked. i couldn't stop laughing

ok so i was pondering. i want to make a 2 tier set up for rocko and my other dragon i'm working on getting. i want to make it out of cedar and finish it. but cedar can make it really dry so if i finish it will it reduce the dryness. looking for opinions.
so rocko is passed out on the center of the love seat while we watch the seed of chuckie. but he started off wrapped in my shirt.

now can you tell my wife is a little petrified... :twisted:

so i have made the choice to get rocko out of the sand and go carpet. i know that any kind of sand even walnut is not good for them. i read more and more storys about sand and it's junk. so every one plz plz plz don't use sand of any kind it is bad for them. if you bought a dragon that has been in sand and your like well he's been in it already so it must be ok. NO!!!! it's not, impation can happen any time. you can have your dragon in sand for yrs and maybe nothing does happen it lives a whole life i consider that dragon a lucky one.
i have now changed it over to carpet not only i'm happy rocko is to. i also decide to move him into my living room and see if he will like it out here. it's never really loud out here and he can see the tv he loves tv. so hopefully it will work out.
here's his new set up i know i don't have much in there for him specially plants of some sort i'm working on it. i'm gonna be moving soon and want to build a 2 tier for rocko and hopefully rocko will have a playmate in a few months.

so i had a hard time finding rocko in the living room and he ended up under my love seat. asking my girlfriend to help me she was terrified to pick him up and he was sleeping. when he's sleeping it's the best time to pick him up. so she has this stuff animal and starts sliding him across the floor so i can put the couch back down it was heavy. i have some new pics coming of his viv i think i'm happy with it his repti 10.0 shoud be here thursday.

He's adorable. I, now, can't understand how she can be afraid of such a cute little guy! 30 years ago when my husband wanted to get an iguana (we much prefer beardies now) I gave him a choice, needless to say we never got an iguana. From what I've since learned, it's probably a good idea because they can get testy.

Oh something like that happened to me. I was in charge of looking after my coudin's snake while he went into boot camp. Well one day the california kingsnake got out. It was hiding underneath the couch and I was the only one with enough strength to lift it. My mom is deathly afraid of snakes. She didn't know what I was looking for and jumped up onto the couch I was lifting. After much arguing and tears she got a broom and dustpan and swept the poor thing.
