Just wondering if i can go ahead and feed supers now that Omni is officially 16" and 7 mo. old. They look huge to me at the store, but maybe it's just me. Also, what other things can I add into her greens daily that are ok, does anyone have any tried and true favorites they use? I'm bored w/ the same old thing, not sure how she feels. Any ideas would be great!!!!

I use small supers, just because i'm paranoid and they sell them at my local petstore. Both my guys all time favourite is Butterworms, second is hornworms and third is silkworms.

I never thought I would have so much fun feeding off worms! LOL

Thanks Kalyn, I'll be on the lookout for the small supers. I don't want to order since it's freezing here in New England, extra cost, blah, blah. Do you ever toss a bit of baby food in your salads?? Just curious, looking for different things to feed her.

I do not use babyfood due to the sugars in them, I believe they should only be used when a beardie isn't eating and is losing weight.

www.beautifuldragons.com has a great nutritional page which tells you all about great alternatives and no no's. it's like our beardie food bible LOL

Both my guys love squash, green beans, snap peas and bits of red pepper once in a while as a treat.

I was a little nervous about feeding superworms as well, my Bob is about 14", and the supers seem huge, but he seems fine with them! AND he cant get enough!!! He really chews them so i know they are being digested properly!! Try it out, youll be surprised!

Mine loves parsnips, winter squash, carrots and mustard greens.... Parsnip is quite possible the world most nutritious vegetable. It is very low in oxalate, but the calcium to phosphorous ratio is a little off, so I just add a pinch of calcium to balance it out. Parsnip is much denser than the green...weight for weight, it contain a lot more vitamins and minerals than the leafy greens.
