Ordering Supers??

Hi everyone,

Who would you recommend ordering superworms from online?

I could buy from Petco all day long but it just makes me so angry and just saddens me to go into that store, I just simply refuse to go there anymore!!! I would love to go get that baby bd I saw there last night but they will just get more in....its just sad!! Which ever breeder is supplying this particular store w/ beardies needs thier head examined!!!??? Way too small, entirely way too small!!

Any info about the supers would be great.....my big guy has lost interest in the phoenix worms .....

I bought supers online until I found a local supply. It is best to buy a bulk amount and just use them as needed. They are easy to keep. I would shop around for price and consider shipping too. My local supplier sells them to me for 20.00 per thousand w/ local pick up. Jeff

I buy them from http://www.reptilefood.com. They cost $17.50 per thousand plus shipping. I've been extremely happy with this company and highly recommend them.

Hi Leann-
I get all my bugs from Ghann's. Well so far crix, Pws and supers. I think thats all they have. They are in Ga. so the shipping here in Tn is great. They also have good prices and a super overcount. I think Mo may be outside their cheap shipping range but you could try. I think there is another supplier closer to you but the name escapes me. If I remember I'll get back at ya. Happy bug hunting. :lol:

I usually buy 50 and they last about a week or less, he eats about 10-12 per day plus his greens. Is that too much? I have noticed that he has slowed down just a bit though. Would 1000 supers be too many? I'm not sure what these ugly things turn into once they've been around for awhile and don't want any flying bugs in my house if I can help it. I heard that they turn into beetles...ewww

Any advise you can give me is great.

Leann- Looks like it is ghann.com I have just been linking from my first order and had to look it up. :lol:

Supers need certain conditions to "turn". If you want details there is a link somewhere, I'll find it if you like. Keep them in the light with ventalation. Clean out the dead fast, dead ones STINK!
I would only order 500 if I were you, last time I ordered that big, Bogie started to brumate. Go figure. :lol: Keep carrots, celery, apple or potato wedges in with them. I've heard they will just keep growing for a long time. If fed well, that is. Gotta run, kids!
