open mouth

hey!My male dragon diesel has had his mouth open for a good month now.. he has been to the vet as i thought it was a respiratory infection,the vet could not find any sign of such an infection. There is no discharge or weezing and he has pink gums meaning he is healthy..his appetite is still the same. he is 11 months old now and he gets bout 30 or so crickets and about 10 roaches a day plus his salad.. His temps are perfect sitting around 36 c at his basking area. I use a reptisun 10.0 36" tube light. can anyone give me any advice on other problems?

Open mouth? over basking area or all the time?
My dragon will open his mouth while under his basking light.
This is the way they release heat similar to humans when we sweat.
Sound like you got a good vet check and you're Dragons OK.
Question? what are you taking temps with?
With a dragon that size max temp at 103f to 105f should be ok for basking.
The round stick on thermometers could be as muchs as 20 f off and you
may find his temps are a little on the high side.
Try taking temp in basking area with digital probe thermometer or heat gun
and see what you come up with.
Leave probe on basking rock,log whatever you are using for 45 minutes or until
temps stop rising.
I think what you will find is temps are a little on the high side

thanks for the fast reply!yeah im taking the temps with a digital probe and they perfect!
Even when his lights go off at night his mouth is opened,so it's not that he is hot and just cooling down.
just no signs of any infection or anything jammed in his throat or mouth,so for me this is all to strange.
im doing some more research online and will hopefully get a answer to my problem unless i go for 2 second opinion at another vet,what u think?
