Only eats crickets!

Hello,

My husband and I recently got a baby bearded dragon. He will primarily eat crickets and the occasional super worm. I have tried salad, pellets, carrots, strawberries, broccoli, grapes, and apples. Not only by hand, but mixing them in with his worms.

He seems to only eat things that move. . and move fast. Will not go after the insects unless they make him work for it.

Any advice?!?!

Yes, a baby we got from Petco a week ago. 10 gallon tank kept at 90-100F.

Some babies are very picky. Don't stop offering them though. Eventually they learn to eat that as well. 90-100 is generally good on one end, and they need a cool end too. 10gallon is okay right at the moment as my 4 week old baby is in one, but it can't stay in that very long. Within the next couple week it should be put in nothing less than a 20 gallon and at least 40 when its full grown. But be persistent with the greens, don't give up.

If its a baby try bumping his hot spot to 110f since babies need the warmth to process what they eat. Also try not feeding them superworms until he is at least 16 inches long. People don't feed supers till that length just because its easier for them to digest them without getting impacted and they have really high fat content.
