Only Eating dusted crickets

I have a beardie, Eko, that is about 5 months old, he/she usually eats about 40-50 crickets a day and I noticed there has been some left over in her/his tank past couple days. I took them out and dusted them with calcium and my beardie ate them all... plus more, like he/she was starving. So I feed him/her again today and she didn't even go after the crickets... let them jump on her and walk around her. So I dusted them again and once again ate them all plus more I added that were dusted. She/he usually has a great appetite, call her my chunky monkey (because she is always eating everything, greens, crickets, some fruit)
I think Eko is a girl, she's been shedding alot so I'm wandering if it's that, we been giving her superworms (past five days), but not many and we haven't changed anything in her cage. She isn't having any issues, we've only had her for about 2 months.

***Forgot to note that when I put the dusted crickets in, she'll lick and nudge with her nose the calcium on her slate floor. She'll also scratch at it trying to get it off the slate***

Any help Eko and I would appreciate.... thanks in advance.

Sometimes they are quirky like that. Sounds like she just likes the color/scent/taste of the crickets with the calcium supplement. That's OK, since I would dust them anyway.

She even scratches at the calcium that falls on the slate floor, she licks at it. Does that mean she's not getting enough? So just keep going with dusted crickets. Thank you for your help, new to beardies...

It could be a sign she is looking for minerals for her diet. She may simply just like the taste of it too, which is OK. Just keep giving the crickets a light coating of calcium at every feeding and she'll be able to get what she needs.

I agree, some just like the taste of it. I've seen videos where some people give it to them right out of a cap and they go crazy over it.
I wouldn't suggest that, but it lends credence to the thought that they might just like the taste.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
