Online crickets?

Hello,
can anyone recommend a good place to buy crickets online. We have petsmart but trips to the store and the price they sell them for, I was wanting to start ordering them online. There are a few places we have checked out but was wondering anyones experience with them. Example do they arrive alive mostly? Thank you very much

Where do you live at state wise? Do you plan on shipping USPS if you can find a close location, or pay for overnight FedEx/UPS if further away?

I live in GA. I plan to use fedex or ups.

I have been very satisfied with Ghann's Cricket Farm for roughly since March. They are located in Georgia so I overnight FedEx their cricket up to Ohio. Their DoA rate is very low, even though we're in a high heat time of the season. Ground USPS shipping for the local states can be more risky since they will travel longer on the roadways and sit in buildings longer.

Armstrong Crickets was suggested by another member earlier this week to another member living in Florida. I personally never heard/used them before, but they said they were out of Louisiana, but their website also says they're located in Georgia. The member in Florida went with Ghann's ground USPS shipping, so I have been await his shipment to see how well they arrived.

I just ordered crickets from Armstrongs Cricket Farm...They have good shipping rates.

Lol, I've been looking at cricket websites and one of them when you open the page has a cricket chirping. Sitting here in the dark, it def made me throw on some lights and start a search! Def made me jump.

I did Georgia crickets. Got here today, I didn't cough up for overnight, since it was only supposed to be about 80 here, not over 85. Think I might have to take my chances anyways, unless I know it was going to be really really hot. I'd have to get 2 completely dead shipments before it cost the same as to overnight it here. anyways, there were some dead husks in the bottom, didn't seem like an extraordinary amount. There were still a TON of live ones, but at 3/8 of an inch, how the heck could I possibly count if there were 1000 or not?!!!! Having never had to transfer crickets before, quite a few made a break for it(maybe like 50) but my 2 cats had a late snack and took care of that, mostly, I hope.

So umm, has anyone ever had Dubia's delivered? I bookmarked a site that delivers, but I kinda wanna know if they come in a box that says live roaches like the crickets came in a box that said live crickets. My landlady. She's awful nice, but she's pretty old, and I think she might have an issue with me having roaches delivered. I'd much rather just be able to tell her a little white lie, "They're called dubia bugs". That'd totally work. :wink:
