One lamp for both UV and heat?

Hi,
I don't have a Bearded Dragon, but am getting one in August and have been researching them since last August. There is a reptile shop 10 minutes drive from my house which is where I'm getting my dragon and setup from.
They use one lamp which provides both heat and UV. I trust them and all, but I've never heard of these and I would like to hear some people's reviews on them if they use them and if they are ok?
I think its an Arcadia by the way

Arcadia makes nice stuff. The lamps that produce UVA and UVB are mercury vapor bulbs (MVB). I don't have personal experience with them but several folks on her have and can give you some good details on them.
