Well, I still think its better to rule out the other possibilities before doing that. And you never mentioned if your beardie had any other signs of anything wrong with their eye.

I too was concerned about it with my dragon, Little Dragon, and switched him from t5 HO to regular 10.0. But he still kept closing his eye so I switched back because t5 HO brightens the enclosure more. I realized that eye closing could be a sign of PKC (won't even try spelling it out) so my solution was to tinker with my UVB and replace the high output tube to see what happens. I think now it was shed around his eyes.

It's hard to communicate on forums sometimes. Ideas and suggestions get lost in the mix, etc. My post before was just trying to consolidate and summarize ideas in one post. I didn't mean for it to come off as abrupt...sorry.

You have a young, rapidly growing dragon so you can expect a shed soon.

That was the whole point of this thread, was to rule out other possibilities.

So far , my course of action will be to rinse her eye with some saline to make sure something hasn't gotten stuck in there, and watch for further signs of injury to develop, and If i see none, I will just hope maybe her eye knows she is shedding before the rest of her face does? :lol: :lol:

Yeah, I kinda figured, but you never really said you were in the process or were going to do anything yet.
I wouldn't be surprised if your beardie is just getting irritated at loose skin starting to form. I know that Diablo sometimes does the same thing (usually resulting in her being antisocial with me :lol

That was honestly my first thought. I got her from kidsanddragons , and I talk to the guy whos running the show there on a pretty regular basis, he doesnt strike me as somebody who would let his dragons get close enough to a UVB source to get an eye injury , so I just assumed it was a shed. It's been almost a week tho with no signs of a shed yet, so my paranoid beardie owner side kicked in , I guess.
