OMG!!! He's HOME!!!! He is gaining weight too

Just took him off the scale. He is gaining slowly but that is good. We don't want to make him sick while fattening him up. He weighed in at 106.3 grams which is up from 100.1 grams. woooohoooooo!!!!! 6 grams!!!! His color is looking better and he is getting calmer. He is wanting to be held more now. Still keeping him in isolation and using tons of sanitizer after messing with him or his things to make sure we don't spread anything to anyone else.

We were out enjoying the sun. We have a puppy who likes the dragon. The dragon was on me sunning and puppy jumped up on me and dragon. Amigo got scared and ran. Like and ***** did not have leash on tight. I also have some physical disabilities and could not chase him so I could not run after him and by the time I got to where I saw him go he was gone.
So always put leash on and put on tight. I will also never use store leashes again. Thanks Christene They love your leashes.

There is something else we do to make sure we can keep the leash in sight. We found a package of fluorescent red-orange shoe laces. There was a 2 pack so we have 4 individual strings we tied on the end of the black leash strings that our girls wear every time we take them outside to get real sun and wander, they like wandering. There is about 150 to 200 feet from our front door to the end of the road (we have 4.8 acres of land) and there is a lot of places in the front yard that they like to wander to. When they disappear, and it's almost impossible to keep an eye on them as they sit for a long time and then start wandering after you stop keeping a total eye on them. This fluorescent red-orange string tied to the end of their leashes makes it a lot easier to see.

BTW: Rosie is terrified of horses (don't know why we've had her since about 3.5 months of age) and she can hear the horses coming before we see or hear them and she goes running away from where she hears them (along the road in front of our house). The last time she did that she tried to crawl under the steps in front of our front door. This color on the leashes helps us to find her when she does this. We do stay outside with them all the time, tho because of the predators we have. We tried red yarn, we had it in stock, and it kept breaking and I got tired of replacing it every couple of months and when we found those shoe laces I bought them and we haven't had to replace them since and it's been at least 6 months, maybe more.

he just managed to wiggle out of the stupid leash. We have new ones now. By the time it is warm enough to spend time outside they will be huge. Harder to get away when huge as opposed to when they are 3 months old. i like the shoe string idea. we have color harness with color leash now. so hopefully that will help.

Wow, Amigo is home, congratulations! Sara told me about this, I had to come and read all the details. It's amazing how he survived in those cold temps for 3 months, it's quite the miracle. Happy to hear that he is enjoying his cuddles, baths and eating well. Keep a close eye on him to make sure he doesn't develop any symptoms of an upper respiratory infection.

Congrats and since you mentioned his one leg being funny when he walked dont forget his calcium (he went 3 mos without it!)
I cant believe he is alive and well. take him to the vet anyway for a full checkup. Love to all of you

I could not wait to change our sig. We had to put his name back on there.
His leg seems to be getting better each day. I think maybe when the neighbor was trying to put him in the bucket to bring him to us I think maybe she
hit his leg or twisted it. He is not acting like it hurts him and today it is not turning funny at all. He is jumping really well and running like crazy.
he is getting his calcium and vitamins.
