Hi guys,
I was holding Ollie today when I noticed him fidgeting his leg around. I took a closer look and realized his nail had completely fallen off!
It was the nail of the toe that has been having problems for over a year now, but hasn't seemed to affect him ever. We took him over the summer last year to the vet weekly for shots for certain bacteria (I think it may had been related to the toe) and he was ok after that but just today it fell off. He had pooped in his water dish and the nail was also in there.
It was his big toe, and that toe had always been a little bigger at the tip. I don't think this is urgent because I did some research and it didn't seem like a big problem. There is a point coming out of the stump of his toe now (could it be his nail growing back?)... I'm not sure if it will grow back or not.
Any advice/help would be appreciated.
