Olive might get an infection! Please Help Soon!

Hello.
So two days ago my mom cut my little Olive's nail too short! She was bleeding a little bit but I just put a wet/damp paper towel around her toe to make it stop. She really didn't bleed a lot there was only like 2 drops on the paper towel. So at first I put a band aid on (I know silly right) but then I took it off. So yesterday I put neosporin (spelling?) on it. Now, yesterday she went to bed at around 8:30 PM. She usually wakes up like an hour before that around 7:30-8:00 AM. But at 9:30 she was still all cozy in her blanket! Then I took her out to eat for breakfeast and at first she didn't want the crickets but then she ate only around 10 crickets which for her is like nothing! She has no stress marks and it is her left toe the really long one. She will be 6 months in 2 days! I really don't want her to get an infection because I can't take her to the vet! I might be able to but I really doubt it! This is her second health concern in her entire life so far! Please help she is my baby! :silent:

Have some patience, it's only been a couple hours since you posted.

Is there anything else that could be causing her to not eat? What kind of substrate are you using?

I've never cut my beardie's nails too short to the point of bleeding, but it I cut them a little to close to the quik, he will lift his foot up and not want to walk on it for an hour or two afterwards. If she is using her foot, and the toenail doesn't look any different, I would imagine that she is fine. You need to keep an eye on it though, and it is really important to always have money saved up for a vet appointment. I can't stress that enough. Antibiotics aren't too expensive (Around $10-$15 for some Baytril) so I would hope that you could take her in for that, if necessary.

It sounds like she'll be fine. A couple of drops of blood is no big deal, we all get cuts + scratches all our lives and they usually heal fine, so do our pets. Unless you see swelling and exreme sensitivity [ there will naturally be at least a LITTLE sensitivity, just like when we have a boo -boo] just keep putting the neosporin on.

Thanks! I do get a little impatient! I actually just offered her crickets and she ate them. Then she ate her greens. I have reptile carpet. She seems to be fine but on her right foot doesn't seem right and it has been like that all of her life. I'll try and post a picture today or tomorrow. It could be fungus. Thanks for your help

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
