I already get headaches from my spoiled rotten cat named Moon being picky with her food but now Kadaj is being picky as well!
When I bought him, I was told he was already good about eating greens and would also munch on a few pellets as a snack.
The good news is unlike my iguana yrs ago who refused to eat or poop the first 2 weeks I got him(and kept me a basket case the whole time) Kadaj ate his crickets voraciously and goes to potty 2x/day.
I heard it's best to get them enjoying greens/fruit/veggies when young because even though their diet is supposed to be mainly crickets and when adult, they will need mainly veggies and stuff with less crickets.
The first night I got him, he took 3 bites of his salad. After that, well I wondered if I gave *my* mom *that* much trouble as a toddler when she had to force me to eat my veggies?!
Yesterday, I threw half a grain of corn and a few bits of chopped red/yellow peppers. He likes a tiny nip of bright colors if you throw them at him.
I finally got him to take 3 bites of Escarole or Endive out of my hand before bed after no food for a whole day(out of crickets until our mail order arrives. It was shipped yesterday)
Aaand....He acts like I am trying to feed him poop when I try giving him pellets. I literally get a nasty look from him. I mostly moisten the pellets to gut-load the crickets with food and water before feeding them to him.
Also, how much/often am I supposed to feed a 3 month old juvenile veggies/feeders and how often do I use Repti-Cal and Herpivite on it? Currently, I offer both veggies and crickets 3x/day and sprinkle on the supplements once every day or two.
