Oh my Lexia layed eggs!!!!

I woke up 2 hours later than normal went to turn on lights and i looked down at Lexia and a pile of eggs............... EGGS! She layed 20 I was in shock she will be turning 1 yr old on the 13th of this month.I didnt expect eggs. Might be why she lost her fat pads. She wasnt eating very well intill yesterday she wanted to eat and eat. She ate 10 3 inch supers and a 1/2 cup veggies. I guess she knew she would need all that energy laying those eggs. I didnt even notice all her moving and trying to get out of her viv because Lexia has always been a hyper beardie. So to us she was acting her normal self. Only thing diff was her loss in fat and her lack of wanting to eat. We have her soaking now. Poor little thing i dont know where all those eggs fit.... shes a tiny little thing.

Shes in the warm bath now she drank alot. We gave her calcium and plan on giving it again tonight. Do i feed her right away or wait a bit? Im so lost when it comes to this. Its my first batch of eggs. Non fertile eggs.

Lexia seems to be bouncing back well. She had me worried for a bit she looked really bad wouldnt move and her back legs were twitching here and there. Ive been babying her for the last few days. Extra baths, baby food with her vits (sshhh dont tell her) double calcium a day. Her eating has went through the roof today. 20 supers(a little at a time through out the day.) Her colors are really good her eyes look normal they were a little sunk in after she laid eggs. She was exploring and causing trouble durning her roam time. Thank goodness for this site if it wasnt for all you guys i would of been lost. Thanks!

Awww Christy your so welcome, I am glad she is bouncing back for you. The legs twitching is normal and should go away soon. She also maybe sore yet for a week cause of all that hard work! Please keep us posted.

Shes wonderful actually she happy and moving around like she used to. I think shes eating better than she ever has. She cleans up all her veggies and 20 supers a day the last few. I'll be cutting back on them. Dont need her fat. She has her bran new Mega-Ray shes loving life atm. She even gave Kinno a headbob foot stomp and a blackbeard like she used to. Her fat pads are comming back and her tail is starting to thinken up again woot! Since she laid these eggs should i be waiting for more clutches?

Well, don't pull your hair out or anything, but definitely be alert to the signs. And trust me on this one, get the laybox materials ahead of time. I made a late night trip to walmart trying to find sand :shock:

Yeah we are going tomorrow i think to grab the sand and stuff. I want to be ready next time. My hubby thinks Roo is holding eggs now too.... I told him to shut up! Shes getting awful thick and lazy. She looks like someone blew her up like a balloon lol It would be just my luck if that happened.
