I'm a worried beardie mommie once again. Rambo decided to run up my arm and jump off my shoulder when I went to take out his food dish. He landed on a plate on the floor. Its a mighty big drop, and it made a pretty loud thud. He seems to be fine. He ran and hid after it happened, now he's in his tank basking away. He seems okay, but I'm still worried. I feel terrible
He's almost 7 inches long. I'm 6'1", so my shoulder to the floor...Oh my, I hope he's okay!

Keep an eye on him for any swelling or discolouration, especially along his sides and belly. Also watch for anything that may indicate pain/sensitivity in these areas, or his limbs. Most likely he'll be just fine, but after such a big fall you'll want to watch him especially carefully for a few days.

But he is moving around and he went poo...
I'm just scared that hes like just in shock and is going to be in a lot of pain later...
Or he's going to give me the death glare forever for not catching him...
Rambo is my first beardie so I worry quite a lot.
I'll deffinitely keep everyone updated though. I think I was more scared than he was when it happened.

I agree with Jasper's Mom on this one. Leto once crawled down my back (while I was standing up) and took a jump off my hips to the floor, where he freaked out and went tearing into the kitchen (skidding hilariously on the linoleum). I would've laughed had he not just jumped a few feet to the floor. He was okay, though.

So yeah, just keep an eye on 'im.

Oh the little ones are jumpers for sure might wanna keep him at a safer lvl , we have had a few *splats * with chimera scared us half to death once.

Bless you heart. I'm glad to hear he seems to be fine. Blaze (RIP) liked to jump alot to at that size, I ended up putting his viv about 3" in from the floor so if he climbed to jump I was sitting on the floor and incase he climbed all the way up his climbing tree and escaped his viv he would only fall 15" or so.

I completely freaked out the first time Scorch tried to jump from the bed to the nightstand and slipped off onto the floor. It really makes your heart skip a beat. To this day she is still curious about the nightstand and won't quit jumping over there. She is now 15" and still hasn't settled down. I wonder what possesses them to be such dare devils when they are young? Don't they know they are giving us an ulcer?? :roll:
