Odd tail color

My dragon Marty, his tail is a completely different color than the rest of his body. He can vary from brown and orange to gold and orange ( depending on his mood) but his tail always stays this mundane brown/grayish color. He also has a kink at the bottom of his tail ( I think Petsmart caught his tail in the cage at some point) is the coloration something I should be worried about?

hard to tell without a picture might just be the normal colour or could be a sign of tail rot

It's always been darker I think. He's about 2 years old now.

It looks like his tail is about to shed. Nothing to worry about =)

But it always looks that color. Even after he sheds, and I've never seen him shed the top part.

It doesn't look harmful at all. The problematic signs on a tail are dark color along with shriveling or open wounds. The gray dull color/waxy consistency is pre-shed state in every case I've seen.

The tail looks normal. My bearded dragon's tail is almost always pale, so nothing to worry about!? Beautiful dragon you got there
