I know I've shared this first photo back from January 9th already in this thread. However, I wanted to "reshare it" side by side with today's photo!
Odahviing is turning into such a cuddler. He's super affectionate. It's amazing, frankly. I had no idea a reptile could ever be this way! He crawled into my hand and snuggled in with his happy, full belly after he cuddled on the heating pad for his daily greens. I scritched his cheek by his ear hole, like he's come to LOVE, and he smiled like that and fell asleep. After I stopped to take the picture and Tweet it he lifted his head and opened his eyes to stare at me. I asked him, "What?!" He let out a MASSIVE deep breath-huff. I laughed and went back to petting him. He put his head back down and went back to sleep. I think he believes he's a cat. He does that funny huff thing whenever he's not done being petted, and I don't resume it fast enough. He likes to look at me over his shoulder, or tilt his head to peer. He always gives me the "chance" to give him more lovings before hitting me with the "huff-puff" of beardie dissatisfaction. I love it!!
I just can't believe I took this tiny lizard, barely four inches if even that, with his bitty hurt hand and way to skinny body and have gotten him to over seven inches and 23 grams since CHRISTMAS with nothing but you guys and the rest of the internet. All with no preplanning and at the drop of a hat. I was scared I was going to kill this little guy!! I was terrified I was going to do something wrong! Now I'm sprinkling tiny superworms with vitamins and calcium, making sure he gets enough
UVB light, checking so many temperatures in different spots, tempting him with greens and hornworms and silkworms and Phoenix worms and all the lovings I can manage! And baths! So many baths! Panacur and acidophilus! ReptaBoost and baby food! Snugglings! Heating pads! Oh my! :love5:
