Obsession?

Does anyone have a dog at home that is obsessed with their Bearded Dragon?
Boo Radley is obsessed. He would stand at the cage all day if I let him. He presses him nose against the cage and pants and smiles while the beardie hangs out. The beardie will sometimes come right up to the glass and just looks at the dog.
We have slow introduced them. The beardie seems fine and doesn't look stressed and Boo doesn't seem to want to eat him he just likes sniffing.
Do you think this is ok?
Does anyone else have this same problem?

Thank you so much Janie. That is exactly what Boo does. It really doesn't bother me I just wasn't sure if other dogs where interested. Thanks for posting the video. Your tank set up it great and I like your dog!

Thanks. Chelsea is an Australian blue heeler. She loves to nom cats, lizards and humans !
That was over 5 months ago, the first pic is where he is at now. The 55 is holding 3 lady geckos !

I have 6 beardies and 4 absolutly love my puppies. Thye freak out and want out of there cage everytime they see them come into the room, the other two the dogs slove them but they just came from a breeder so there not used to it yet!.....my puppies just sit by the cage and look at em and when we let them play my puppies wanna lick em!

Do you let the puppies lick the dragon or do you keep them from doing that? Can your dogs get sick from licking the beardie?

I don't allow Chelsea to, because of parasites can be transmitted from one species to another. However, I do know that pins can go from one lizard species to another, so just avoid that all together, though not altogether sure from lizard to mammal as there are different kinds of parasites found in both.

The illnesses that reptiles and mammals get are often the same main type but the sub characteristics of the disease are completely different. The pinworm and cocci that a dragon can get are very different from that of a dog. Just as adenovirus in dogs is completely different from adenovirus in beardies. I have never heard of a internal parasite or virus transferable between coldblooded and warm and vice versa.

I should have known that too, Dad was a vet for over 35 years... Kinda explains my love for critters amuck !( tosses head and amucks all around the room like the ditzy blond witch from some show....can't remember the name of the show, but loved that scene ! Getting old I imagine...sniff)

no dragon power is watching dr. evil (my big male) corner my two cats in the living room. They were so scared it was hilarious. I so wish i had had my video camera back when that happened.
