Hello friends,
After much research and reference to this site, I purchased a nice digital thermometer that was referred to me by this site. I found it wthout a problem and hooked it up. Just as this blog says, the temp was off (5 degrees LOWER than correct). The digital temp in my beardies basking site is 100-108 dependent on the day's temp. This is supposed to be ideal temp for beardies but my beardie completely avoids this spot. Is that ok? He clearly does not want to be in the basking site. He'll hang close to it, but never in it and in the cool area which is about 85 degrees. Im confused as I thought they are supposed to love the basking site. He's happy, healthy, eats like a pig, shedding normally - so I know is health is spot on but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
Thanks.
