not eating?

lillys been in her new 40gal for about a month...ive been feeding her crickets IN the cage for a while but i have fake rocks in there and they just hide in the cracks so she only gets about half of what i feed her *usually a little over 20-25* i got a 10gal to feed her in and yesterday she ate fine but today she didnt touch any of the crickets i put in there for about an hour...so i put her back in her cage...i know its only one day and i shouldnt be worried, im going to try a little later on in the day to see if she will eat...
i think its just because of her "new" eating enviornment but i want to make sure its not something else...im just wondering if anyone else has had this happen
anything would be appreciated thanks

it isnt shed related...she isnt shedding
i tried to feed her again today and she didnt eat

the only thing i could think of is that she burrows in her blanket and cant tell when her lights come on...she is cold when i put her in the other tank to eat so i switched the blanket *for some reason its only the blue one that she burrows and doesnt ever get out of* she stays in that one for about 3 hours after her lights come on...im going to try again tomorrow. she hasnt lost any weight so im not super worried but i would really like to know why she isnt eating :/

Still think she will shed in the next few days, My beardies taz & tazmina both go off there food, hideing in the shade wont surface until lunch time, looks sad all the time, Might be wrong but most likely the cause.

yeah but shes orange/red...so when shes ready to shed her skin turns brownish or super dark and shes as bright as ever...she didnt eat today which is fine *my mom keeps telling me that i did that when i was a baby lol the dr said shell eat when shes ready lol* ill look out for a shed but im not so sure thats what it is

My beardies going through this exact thing at the moment! Hasn't really eaten for the past week and has been a lot more defensive and nervous than usual, but as time goes on I can see the top of his head is getting duller and duller. It really concerned me too, because I've only had him for a couple of months and this is the first shed he's started with me!

If you're really concerned you could always get a feacal done to double check for parasites, but it does seem to be shedding.

im not convinced...all she did today was lay under her rockthingy and i took her out to give her a bath *just in case * and she went right back under there...ugh...ive had her almost a year and nothing has ever gone wrong *knock on wood* shes always been a VERY healthy eater lol and now she wants nothing to do with her crickets since i first posted this im starting to worry...
for now i guess im just going to keep giving her a bath daily...if you guys or anyone else has comments let me know pleeeeease

Could it be brumation? How old is she?

Basically, although I posted earlier in this thread thinking my beardie was about to shed, I'm also starting to think he's starting to brumate. He's a bit young (9 months), which made me think it might not be that, but the signs are all starting to point towards this. I'm going to get a fecal done this week to rule out the possibility of parasites, or to make sure there's none there before he goes to sleep properly!

well after hearing everything i decided to call the guy i got her from...he said go out buy superworms and give her like 6 of them...he said that he would almost promise that she would eat those...lol and she did. i stay away from those and meal worms just because of the shells but right now they are better than nothin. that was yesterday morning and today i tried putting her in her 10 gal to eat with 13 crickets and 6 supers...we will see what happens-she is still deciding wether she wants to eat or not. but this morning i found her up on her basking rock waiting for me to get up so i hope ive figured out she is just a really picky eater sometimes lol.

Well done so glad, Sometimes its best to just ride it out and not confuse matters, They do stupid things dont they, sent to try us, Some times i wish they could talk, but i'm sure i would get the same answer as my teenage son "Nothing"

Funnily enough, I tried exactly the same thing, except I also added locusts into the mix. He went absolutely nuts for them! Seems he'd just had enough of crickets! I'm hoping it's just because I was feeding him the slightly smaller brown, instead of black ones, or that he wanted a change, it's going to work out expensive otherwise!
