Not correct length

hey guys, is there any way to make my beardie grow faster..? he is going 4 months now but is only 9 inches.. i keep on feeding him a lot of lats but he only eats around 20 per feeding session. im afraid that he will never grow around 18-20" and that he would always be small.. any help?

Genetics say that some of us are just supposed to be small or tall lol!

It may help to go over your set up in detail though:

How old is your dragon?
How long have you had your dragon?
How long is your dragon?
What is the sex of your dragon?
What size enclosure do you have your dragon in?
What type substrate do you have on the bottom of your tank?
Do you use UVB lights?
If so, Is it a coil, compact, fluorescent tube, or Mercury Vapor bulb?
What is the brand name and number of your bulb? Wattage (if MVB)?
How old is your UVB bulb?
How close can your dragon get to the UVB?
Do you use a separate basking bulb? What kind and what is the wattage? Is it a white or colored bulb?
What are the basking temps?
What is the cool side temp?
Do you take the temps with a stick on thermometer, a digital thermometer with a wire and a probe end or a temp gun?
Where exactly are you taking your basking temps?
Do you use a heat rock or heat pad?
What do you feed your dragon? Please be specific.
How often do you feed and what time do you feed (morning, afternoon, night)?
Do you gutload (feed) your crickets, worms, etc?
Do you use vitamin or calcium supplements? What brand(s)? How many days a week do you use each of them?
Is your dragon having regular bowel movements (poops)?
Do you bath your dragon? How often?
Do you mist your dragon or offer water other than in the bath?
Does your dragon share an enclosure with another dragon?

-Yes, 120 Watt Philips basking lamp
What are the basking temps?
-40-41 degrees celcius
What is the cool side temp?
-around 27-30 degrees celcius
Do you take the temps with a stick on thermometer, a digital thermometer with a wire and a probe end or a temp gun?
-digital thermometer with wire + probe
Where exactly are you taking your basking temps?
-under the basking lamp (not sticked)
Do you use a heat rock or heat pad?
-no
What do you feed your dragon? Please be specific.
-i fed him crickets to weeks ago but then changed his diet to lats, and sometimes i feed him mustard greens because he RARELY eats veggies
How often do you feed and what time do you feed (morning, afternoon, night)?
-2x a day, morning around 8am, night around 8pm
Do you gutload (feed) your crickets, worms, etc?
-Yes
Do you use vitamin or calcium supplements? What brand(s)? How many days a week do you use each of them?
-i dust the lats every morning, multivitamins i do not have because i cant find any here
Is your dragon having regular bowel movements (poops)?
- atleast once a day, but sometimes he can go 2-3x a day
Do you bath your dragon? How often?
-every other day
Do you mist your dragon or offer water other than in the bath?
-yes around 1-2x a day
Does your dragon share an enclosure with another dragon?
-no
Have you gotten a vet check and fecal done?
-nope, no reptile vet here

Sorry whats a Lat?? I have never heard of them before! It could be the feeders arent correct for this speciese, but you have only had him three weeks, his not going to explode!! Where did you get him? Pet shops may give you an age but you can never be sure of that, so take it with a pinch of salt!

Also the UVB is too high, even with the arcadia you need it 6-8 inches from him when he basks (usually 7-9 inches from the basking spot, he wont be getting any UVB at that distance.

As for multi vits, Nutrobal is solt in pet shops all over the UK, its a great multivit.

Aside from that it seems your doing everything right, just give it time. It will be worth finding a vet now though as one day you will need one, and you dont want to have to rush around getting it sorted then!

B. Lateralis or turkistan roach I will be moving the UVB light closer to him but I noticed the past few days he hasn't been staying under his basking spot and just stays beside it.. Hmm sadly there are no pet shops here(Philippines) for exotic pets such as reptiles, so there are not vitamins

lol i assumed you were in the UK with the arcadia lol!!

Roaches are very good!!

It could be the basking spot is a little hot, are you leaving the probe in place for at least 30 min before taking the 41C reading??
