I introduced Norbert a few weeks ago but have finally figured out how to post the pictures. Hit preview and wallah! I'm just a stupid engineer who's great at Autocad and other things, but apparantly need to learn a lot about the web and photos. I'm getting there.
So if this works, here he is. He's about 3 months old now and starting to eat a ton of crickets. He didn't eat much for the first 2 weeks we had him but now he eats like crazy.
He's a sweet little guy. He doesn't like baths at all and I've tried several ways including holding him on my palm. He just leaps for the side and tries to climb out. Maybe when he's bigger. So instead I stroke him with water down his back and let him lick water off my finger. He seems to like the licking off the finger approach. He also likes to hang out at the end windows and watch the world go by in the family room.
We are a family with allergies so the BD seemed like a good "hypo-allergenic" furless pet. The only other pet is a goldfish and quite frankly what can you do but look at it. So my 2 kids love Norbert. I think the hubby is still used to the idea of buying crickets. We had the class BD for Christmas break and thought one would make a good pet. The class pet is 10 years old, so thankfully it didn't kick the bucket while we had him and is still going strong. And this was the critter I said at the beginning of the school year wouldn't enter our house.
