No interest in crickets

Hello i got my bearded dragon for 4 months and she was good eater alll the time but now for 1 month she dont wana eat crcikets any more she is 5 months old and almost 15inc long any ideas what i can do??I got 2 pack of crickets today and she dont show any interest in crickets.What i can do?Normlay she eat araund 30 crickets today she bearly eat 10 crcikets can winter play role in this problem?.

Have you tried feeding other insects? I have heard that they like dubia roaches and reptiworms. dubiaroaches.com has free shipping i think, and backwater reptiles has 300 reptiworms for 14.99

I tray with roaches and superworms she didnt care for roach until i powder him with calcium powder then she eat only 1 and didnt care for roaches any more :lol: just like crickets she love superworms but she is to small for superworms i pm Drache613 and she told me that she need to be atleast 16in long for superworms.I think i will not feed her with crickets for few days only greens mybe she will start eat them again she love greens she go crazy when she see a salad .

Yeah, personally I'm never gonna use super or meal worms. The risks of impaction just can't be justified. Even though they are cheap. I have heard of dragons getting hooked on superwoms, and them that is all they will eat. I just can't make myself do it. Lucky you with the greens! My little guy won't go within a mile of them. :lol:

Hello i dont wana open new topick so i will poset here.Ok now is almost 1 month and she still dont have any interset in crickets she eat mybe 10 crcikets sometimes even less but she love greens.I tray to trick her today and i put crickets in her salad she start to eat salad until she pick up a cricket instead of a salad and she immediately stop eating salad clever beardie :lol: im desperate i dont know what to do she like superworms but she is to small for them i will tray with roaches as soon as possible i still have araund 150 crickets at home and i dont wana throw them away any suggestions why she lost interest in crcikets i feed her with crcikets for 4 months now can this be a problem mybe she wana eat anything else?

I only know my Dragon if he gets like this I only give him greens for a few days that seems to snap him out of his hunger strike. I sware sometimes these Dragons just like to mess with people Anyone who says they are a beginner reptile obviously has never owned a beardie before. Just sayin

Yeah, I'm a beginner, and they were harder than I thought, but you ahve to start somewere!

Have you been able to try any other feeders? Hopefully you can get some roaches or another feeder to offer. She might have gotten the taste for superworms and decided crickets just don't cut it anymore. I'm in the same boat, and my vet who keeps dragons laughed and told me it's pretty common for them to get hooked and she has never seen a dragon that has refused super worms, unless it was very ill. :roll: hopefully you can get some roaches (or soft bodied worms, like reptiworms, butterworms, silk worms) and she takes to them.

It's good that she is eating her greens, you can add a small amount of the vitamins to the salad to make sure she is still getting those. Too bad you can't trick her.

You might be able to safely feed her small superworms that have recently moulted (all white). That would be difficult to keep up with and not do anything to kick the habit though.

Yep she is addicted to superworsm :lol: i put a clear plastic container i her tnak than i drop 10 crickets in and she didnt care after i drop a superworem in she go crazy start to bumping her head agains the plastick.So i immediately take super worm out and she can say good by to super worms for long long time .I will tray with roaches in my country i can get only (crcickets,grasshopers,roaches,superworms and mealworms)Im from slovenia reptile industry in slovenia isnt developed like in America..I give her 5x on week calcium and 2x on week reptivita on greens is this ok?
