Nightcrawlers & Redworms

So the petsmart near my house sells nightcrawlers and red wigglers and I was curious on whether they are a safe insect to feed my beardie. He is 1 year old and I want to give him some variety instead of just superworms and crickets.

I have used nightcrawlers in a pinch during the winter if I couldn't order crickets or superworms due to the weather. Some dragons like them, some don't.
