Night Temps??

HI.

I am wondering what the temps should be at night? My night temps is just above 60f.Ave got a heat mat but only really works when u put ur beardie on it at night.

My daytime temps are = Daytime.90f - 100f Basking
80f - 90f Cool Side

They will do just fine at night with no other heat source at 60F in complete darkness. If it gets below that you can use a small CHE (ceramic heat emitter) which gives off heat and no light at all.
If you are talking about a heat mat..they go under the tank...Never put your beardie directly on top of it.

Ok. A got told at the reptile store that your night temps should be in the 80s??? 60f is fine then?
A cant put the heat mat under tank a need to put in in the tank. Ave got kitchen roll on bottom of viv and heat mat under it. Thaks for help.. cavey

The temps can get as low as 60f like I said with no additional heat needed.
They will be fine. As far as the heat mat is concerned it must be used Under the tank. You should not let your beardies lay directly on top of it. They really cannot determine temps through their bellies.
You can try wedgeing two small pieces of wood or two small books under the enclosure to raise the tank a bit to enable you to slide the undertank heater in.

ok temps are fine My viv is made of wood the heat wont be able 2 work if under the viv?? Aff got a few layers of kitchen roll on mat. Am putting sand in the next 2-3 weeks.
