night lighting and heating

Unless your house temps are dropping below 65 there is no need for a heat source at night. In their natural desert habitat they are use to temps being cooler at night. If your temps are falling below this I'd recommend a cemetric heater instead of a heat light. During the day for a 6month old I'd aim to have a basking spot of 100-105 and a cool area of around 80-85.
