Hello! I've had my Bearded Dragon since August of this past year and he was 6 mo old then (1 yr now). His name is Igneel and a red leatherback.

He was in a 30 gallon tank for a while and he has been growing so well I recently upgraded him to a 55 gallon. The tank I bought used to be a salt water aquarium so it's a little tall for him but the width and depth have been good for his size. Since I bought the tank I've been looking for ideas on how to spruce up his furnishings and give him more climbing area because he loves to climb! Also to take advantage of the height.

I also plan to swap his UVB bulb from the dome to the tube to displace his light more evenly and remove the moonlight bulb on the right. I moved recently and the place has a much better insulation and stays warmer at night, he hasn't once ventured to that side of the tank at night.

Also the scoop isn't in there all the time, I just left it there when I was spreading his sand.

Any suggestions for furniture and even DIY ideas would be much appreciated!

Welcome to the forum! That's a cool looking tank. Does it provide easy access? I don't see a door on it. It will be good to switch to a tube style UVB light for the reasons you stated, and to get rid of the night light as well. I also suggest replacing the sand with something solid and easy to clean. Sand is tough to keep sanitary so I suggest something like tile or non adhesive shelf liner. Something solid, easy to clean, and something that provides a bit of grip. For climbing, your best bet is probably finding or buying driftwood branches that you can stack and create some elevation. There are a lot of good options for furniture, but I've found driftwood to work very well.

Yes, it has 2 large openings at the top. It's an acrylic tank so it provides minimum reflection, easier to clean, light, and from what I can tell so far doesn't steal heat and traps it pretty well. Though without a mesh screen at the top it's inevitable that some will be lost.

Here is the updated enclosure:

Work in progress. Not sure I'm content with the new Reptisun 10.0 T8 UVB bulb. It feels too short and it lacks a reflector. I found a reasonable price on a 36" 10.0 T5 UVB bulb and a 36" NanoTech fixture with a reflector on Amazon but I'd hate to have to upgrade so soon. I know I won't see the results so it's just up to preference at this point, but a better fixture with a reflector is in need. This is just a 10 dollar temporary upgrade.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
