Today I rescued a Mountain Hornded Dragon(MHD). No name yet, however I am not going to name her until she is in the clear health wise. Age, unknown. length, 9". weight, 24g. She was kept in a 10"w x 10"h x 12"d enclosure. Very underwieght and dehydrated. She is too weak to be aggressive, like they said she is.

Aw man...poor little girl she looks very weak and thin, but at least she is holding her head up still.

Unbelievable how do people let this happen? Don't they get it...when you take on a pet it is for the life of the pet...an it is the owners(should be slaves) responsibility to take care of them and provide them with the necessary things they need to thrive. Whoa! Put on brakes.....sorry  it would be easy to rant seeing her.

Sincerely wish you the best of luck.....please do keep us updated.

I will definately keep everyone updated. I don't mind the rant, if people could have heard my thoughts of outrage when I saw her I would more than likely be kicked out of that small town. I went into the hardware store two small towns over for the incubator and vermiculite to transfer the eggs Gabby just laid from my not so great homemade in a pickle incubator until it came in. Well anyway I was sent to the pet department  (at a Ace Hardware) and surprizingly the guy there appeared very fairly knowlegable and they had some really great looking reptiles at very reasonable prices. I was just about to ask about a big beautiful Tokay for Easter for one of my Daughters, who is begging to have one of my beardies or a gecko, when I looked down and saw this little girl and an egg in her water bowl. She looked dead :banghead: . The guy told me she must have laid again making this 3 times in the 2 months she has been there. He assured me she was alive so I asked to hold her. She had no inclin to bite, kick or hit me with her head (common behavior when gravid or just laid especially in this genus of MHDs) I thought for all of about 5 seconds and asked how much lower would they go on her price, I paid $10.00 for her. She sat in my lap for a good 7 miles then she decided to start wondering so I put her back in the box. Much to my relief she struggled some and hit me with her head  . Odd, huh? Won't eat yet and still working on rehydration and Monday I am going to get their fav. food earthworms.

PS - sorry so long

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
