We took Jericho camping with us last summer, he was about 11 months old at that point. We used a cat carrier to transport him, the drive was about 2 hrs. He was crazy at first, trying to escape, but eventually he settled down.
He loved the campsite though! It was a grassy clearing, so we let him run around. He has a ferret harness with leash, but won't wear it. He wiggles his way out of it everytime. So we let him go commando. He was very good, stayed around our tents. Loved basking in the sun and running in the grass. We would set him on the picnic table and let him bask, he was so bright! He even took a swim in the lake! At night I would put him on my chest and cover him with his blankie and he passed out so fast. When we went to sleep we put him back in his carrier all wrapped up in his blankie, then I put another blanket over the carrier, covering 3 sides of it, to keep him warm. Overall, I think it was a good experience for him and us.
... just asking, do they have outlets where you will be camping?
