New owner. Beardie front legs seem limp or weak

The uvb I order is only 14” fixture and bulb. that’s what was highlighted in the link you sent me so I assumed that was the one to get. Is it not strong enough? Right now I still have him in the 40 gal tank. What size tote should I get? He’s eating very little. Yesterday was the first day he ate the most which was only 4 crickets.

The 14" is going to be too small --- I would send it back but first go back and order the 24" and when it comes send the 14" back -- I would get a 20 gallon tote set it up like the pic shows--

Ok. Correct lamp size ordered it also comes with a bulb. I don’t see a pic on how to set up the tote

Oh ok. I see it now. I’ll have to get the tote later. This is the calcium that I have. Can I use it to put in his water

Yes then after he starts eating again I would dust your insects w/ it but for now use it in the water like AHBD has suggested--- let me know when you get the tote and everything so I can help you set it up

I just remembered I have a 17 gal tote. Will that be ok?

yes that will work -- the sooner you get him into the tote and set up like a hospital tank the better-- set it up like the pic shows one end w/ the basking area - make sure you have that digital probe thermometer and take a pic of it and post - the 5.0 bulb needs to be 6-8 inches directly over him - use your screen off the 40 gallon if you can if not you can try clamping the basking light on the end of the tote just make sure it doesnt touch the plastic -- the 14" fixture needs to go width wise over him -- make sure there is NO clear plastic cover over the bulb - take it off if there is

For my own knowledge...why is it better to put him in the tote?

Since he is so ill it's best to have him in something that's gonna focus on basking temps and UVB- he needs that UVB really bad-

The highest spot on the decor is 6” and the Lowest spot 7 1/2” from the uvb

And according to the digital thermometer it’s 109 degrees
