New owner. Beardie front legs seem limp or weak

Sorry to hear this. I'm afraid that the vet trip pushed him over the edge, way too much stress + pain to inject anything in to tiny babies, I see this here regularly. Hope for the best anyway. Did they by chance give you any Critical Care supplement ? It's something you feed via syringe. Or try some Fluker's Repta boost from the pet store. What are the temps. and how are you taking them ?

No supplement. I'm using the digital thermometer karrie recommended. the basking area temps are between 100-110 but the lower part of the tote is in the upper 80s just reaching 90.
Since he's not drinking even with putting the drops on his nose would it be ok to give give him a bath with some of the calcium in the water?

You could, just make it warm and only have him in for no more than 5 minutes and you have to hold him up. BTW those temps. are too high, it should be no more than 105 on the hot end, 80 on the cool end. I'm really sorry you're going through this. Was he a pet store beardie ?

ok, thanks. I'll try to adjust the heat if I can. yeah I got him from petsmart for son's birthday.

Yeah, they are often not in real good condition and babies should be in a smaller enclosure at first when you bring them home. Was he and the babies at the store active when you got him ?

there were only 2 in the tank and laying on top of the other. he was on top.

we really didn't look at them too long but they were just laying there when we picked him out. Since he's not able to move how long should I keep him basking?

Just set him in an area that's around the high 80's. If he can't move himself at all it's not a good prognosis. You can still try though.

His mobillity hasn't really improved other than shimmying an inch or two but his eating and drinking has slightly gotten better. This is torture for us and him. waking up not knowing if he made it through the night or if he's in any pain. I really don't know what we should do.

Poor little guy, I really feel for you and the baby. What is his name BTW, I forgot if you mentioned it. It' s good that he's eating though !

We are so sorry to hear about Spike. These are amazing animals you never know they are resilient. I have read some threads on here where these little guys have fought great odds and injurys. Get that reptiboost as AHBD said. Our family here is Praying for comfort for you and your son, and strength for Spike.
