I am also sorry to hear about your positive result. I have two beardies from two different places that I tested and came back positive. Since I have no plans on breeding them, they will live their lifes out with us. By looking at mine, you can't tell they have it. It's breeders like Sunshine that made this horrible thing what it is today. You can't blame breeders if they never experienced a sick animal but some are carriers and all breeders need to test to be sure.

I would be more than willing to answer any questions you have.

one thing, whenever you go between the dragons, please, please make sure you disinfect your hands.. also, if you can, keep the dragons in separate rooms, to reduce the risk of passing it onto your other dragon..

After further reading on the subject of adenovirus I think that it was wrong to make the above statement. The problem is far more widespread than I first believed. there are owner's that have adeno-positive pet's that are seemingly healthy and thriving. and as long as they are never bred pose no threat. to those people who were offended by that statement, I apologize.

That was kind to apologize.
There are so many healthy ones out there. that people dont know. your 2 could be positive. might not be sick ever. Alot of people dont realize how widespread it is. I dont think there is nothing wrong with kepping positive babies now as pets. as long as you said to never breed.
Think of it personally.. You get a positive test on bugsy and Red.. What would you do. Just something to think about.

I would be devastated. my beardies mean the world to me. red is the apple of my eye and bugsy ,she has the best little personality, never a problem. if they tested adeno-positive I would let them live out their lives.

Hi all,
Thought it was about time I posted a photo of "Mike." Mike is the dragon I got from Russ at Crossfire Dragons.

Unfortunately I still have the adeno infected dragon from Sunshine. Trying to find him a home in Prescott so I don't stress him with shipping. He's eating and has grown about 2" but only gained about 20 grams.
