New owner after 15 years of only dreaming

Hello! I am a new bearded dragon owner after about 15 years of merely dreaming of owning one of these beautiful reptiles. I used to beg my parents constantly for one but never was allowed to have one and now, at 25, I took the leap! This is my 3 month old leather back, Zella. She discovered the window today and really loves my bed. She is the best cricket hunter I’ve ever seen and will only eat her salad when I’m not looking (what a lady). I’ve had her for a week and she’s already put on so much weight after leaving a stressful environment with owners that didn’t really know how to care for her (but tried their best!). This website has already helped a ton and I’m looking forward to being apart of the community more

Aww, she’s a cutie. And that’s great that she’ll eat her salads (even if she refuses to have a witness). Getting youngsters to eat their greens can be challenging so you lucked out with her.

Mine does the same thing I got him/her from petsmart and they didn’t tell me how old it was or gender :/ but it only eats a little. And won’t eat in front of me I put a decent amount of veggie mix in there before bed and when I wake up to see it devoured and thrown all over the tank ??
