Hi guys and gals and beardies werever.

Well its two weeks now since I became daddy to Merlin and Guinevere they are now starting to settle although still stressed a bit, feeding is getting easier, they love cabbage,fresh squash,mealies and a few cricks. Merlin is very laid back surveying everything and leans on one arm against the glass watching tv most of the evening till its bedtime for him, Guinevere however is the total opposite and must see everything thats going on, watches everything we are doing. Neither are very happy at being handled yet but its early days and they need a bit more time to settle. bath time is interesting,Merlin generally just sits there and Gwen tries to get out.
Thanks for all the help and advice guys, I am sure I will need more as time goes by. Will try to post some pictures as soon as I find out how.

Once the pic's are at photobucket you can copy and paste the IMG code(4th choice under the pic when you place the cursor over it) into your post a reply page. It looks like Merlin might be preparing for a shed.
Have you been bathing them?
If not they might find it comforting and will help make shedding easier. :wink:

He has had his regular baths and sort of enjoys them, so far I have not been able to see any certain signs of him shedding.
I have looked at the chart, however if I listened to everything they cannot/should not eat they would in all probability starve. In Ireland the availability of a huge range of foods is very dependant on the season this includes what it is possible to obtain in any major supermarket. As result you have to adapt to what can be bought and mixed up in an attempt to supply a balanced diet. This choice is also restricted in the fresh vegtable stores as well.
Just to give some background to the guys, they have lived in the shop that my other half runs for best part of a year before I took them so their diet has not changed so much from what we fed them in the shop, the only difference is that now they live her it is obtained and prepared with a personal touch.

I have today found a good supply of Rocket which having fed the guys with it they seem to have gone overboard with it, choming away and clearing the bowls although it looked like a leaf fight with the amount scattered round both vivs. Its now 5.30 pm here and Merlin is already looking for more. He has started standing in the bowl if I am late feeding, typical male (of which I am one) where is my dinner slave ????? Oh well better go and do it.
